D&DS&BL Week 8 match reports

Wallingford A Team travel to 'the garage' at Fairmile & win (just!) 3-2 after leading 3-0!
Captain starts with a convincing win 63-13 v Kev Parsons (but misses an easy pink when on 23 after splitting the last 4 reds!  Twat!).
VC Nigel plays solid match play v Aaron Tame to take a healthy 40 point lead before the inevitable come-back from Aaron who eventually succumbs on the black (justice VC would say after the fluked pink he took!), 70-56.
Tom also follows with a win (again on the black) v Fairmile stalwart Dennis Finnon, 59-45.
With the A Team leading 3-0 (& anxious texts between A & B Captains), it all goes a bit wrong!
Kev Gray loses after Stu Foley clears with 22 break to win, 57-34.
And poor Anchorman Dave Greathead 'pulls the plum' in Phil Collins who compiles an excellent 67 break in his win, 90-12.

Meanwhile back at Wallingford Comrades, the B Team lose 2-3 to Wantage.
Kev lost the first frame v Neil Craycraft, 26-84.
'New boy' David Rowe puts in a solid performance to level the match by beating Matt Todd, 63-27.
Andy drops the third frame v Phil Hall (NO, not 'our' old Phil Hall!), 26-64.
Brian puts in another solid frame in the fourth (playing 'top snooker' as only a veteran would!) to beat Sean Dorian convincingly, 60-20 to level the match at 2-2!
In a thrilling last 'deciding' frame Rob House slots in a nice 31 break (don't worry Andy, you've still got the highest with 32!), only for Sid Barnes to fire back a 37 break to virtually level the frame!  In the tense finale, Sid pots blue & pink to nick the frame & seal the win for Wantage!

Good effort lads!
