In the Chairmans Cup Semi Finals the C Team unfortunately draw their Divisions Champions, Wantage & are sadly knocked out, 0-5. Alan is drawn to open v last seasons Singles Runner Up, Paul Robinson & fights to the colours, losing 26-40. Mark draws Lee Wood, who starts well, but then Mark claws back, only to see Lee pot some sublime last few balls to win, 35-50. Kev faces Mike Bishop to save the match & it's a close frame until Bish draws away, again on the colours, winning on the blue, 26-46. Cap C goes on for a fight, looking like he's been in one (something about an argument with a pole?) to salvage some C Team pride v Chris Rose & takes it to the black, which Chris pots to win the first dead rubber, 49-63. Baz plays Over 50s Finalist, Ian 'Sid' Barnes & loses 29-64. Good effort C's - No disgrace losing to them & you put up a creditable fight. Next year!
