A Team host Oracle & lose 2-3. Opening frame is a 'Battle of the World Champions' with Phil (Bar Billiards) facing Ben Rowland (Pool). Phil fights back from an initial deficit to win, 60-38. Tom, fresh from winning the inaugural One Frame Shoot Out Title plays Ollie Hoeblyn & loses on the colours, 31-57. Rowey faces Stu Fenwick in the third & succumbs to 'Fenlash', 29-68. With Captain absent with work, Cuz is Vice Captain for the night & draws himself to play his old Oracle mucker, Richard 'Peanut' Saunders. It's looking good until Peanut fluke doubles the pink & lands plum on the black for a 40-47 loss. Hawkinator races back from Footy 'Coaching' to play Frankie Merola (again) & it's the same result as their last meeting with Jon winning a high scoring frame, 67-53. Back to action on 4th Jan away v Challow.

C Team travel to Harwell B & return to winning ways with a reversal of their last result, winning 1-4. Hugh opens v Little Ollie Mulford & gives the away team the ideal start with a 25-45 win. Baz plays Bob Higginson & also has a personal return to winning ways with a 32-65 win against the ex-Didcot Con player. Alan, who was the only winner last time out, continues his superb run of form with a 6-43 win over Dean Russell. Frame 4 is the Battle of the Marks with Tinsey facing Porter & it's a 19-61 win from Tinsey to make it 0-4 with the newly house-moved Captain returning to competition v Ian Cooksley. Perhaps it was moving all those boxes as Ian nicks a point for the home team on the colours, 43-30. Enjoy your extra long Christmas holiday break with a Bye week for the first League match week of 2017.
