End of Season Snooker Stats - 1987/88 Season

Many years ago, a certain Phil Hall was Snooker Rep for Wallingford Comrades & began compiling weekly Snooker Stats.  It must have been a long time ago because, as you can see, it was back in Black & White! ;)

By kind permission I have been supplied with the complete Stats records from when they began back in 1988 & some notable names appear within... & some are even still playing today.

Happy New Year Snooker Players & fans & here's to 2019 - the Wallingford Comrades Clubs Centenary Year!

Throughout this momentous year there will be various posts on the Snooker Blog & to our Facebook feed in a celebration of our glorious past, with lots of nostalgia thrown in.

Let's start with a copy of a collage which was done for one of our longest standing members (please note I didn't say oldest!), Chris 'Toph' Alexander.  This collage was presented to him in 2016 for his 70th birthday.  Chris appears in & was present at both of these Pro Exhibition Nights & I'm pleased to say that he's still playing competitive matches now in his son Baz's C Team, who are currently leading the First Division.
