After the A Teams achievements over the last few weeks - winning the Premier Division, then the John Evans Cup & culminating in securing the coveted Treble last night by winning the Jim Taylor Cup, I thought it would be wholly appropriate to re-celebrate the original Treble winning A Teams achievements from 29 years ago.
Here is Page 1 (of 2, which will be posted tomorrow) of Phil Hall's End-of-Season Snooker News from the D&DB&SL from the 1989-90 Season. Lots of famous names from the A Team that set the benchmark all those seasons ago.
Thank you Phil for allowing me to raid your Snooker Archives. The lads were so proud to emulate your A Teams feat & especially proud to have achieved it representing Wallingford Comrades in its Centenary Year.
