Nigel gives a demonstration of match play in his 57-4 win v John Vaughan Junior. Tom pots well in his 60-27 win v Pete Davies. Cuz comes up against their man on form & plays his ex-Oracle team mate Simon Saunders. Cuz rattles in a 23 to lead 32-0 before Simon racks up a 32 to level it & then run out to a 33-71 win. Dave pots his way to a 70-26 win v John Vaughan Senior.

B Team travel to Wantage & despite the A Team promising a pint per point, lose 1-4. Simon loses on the black 58-63 v Sean Dorrian. Brian loses on the pink 41-52 v Phil Hall. Dave Rowe blasts his way to a 78-35 win v Dave Williams (bit of psychology there DR to send a message to Phil for the Novices Final?). Rob loses 17-56 v Matt Todd & Captain Andy goes down 11-46 v Captain Ian Barnes. Good effort lads, but as your opposition joked, maybe you can share Dave's 1 pint with 5 straws!

Chris faces ex-Fairmile player Stuart Foley & gets a bit of a mauling, 3-68 (it's all experience Chris). Hugh then faces D&DS&BL Chairman Terry Harper & loses 21-40. Pete 'The Talisman' has a battle to the wire with Ade Jackson & wins 50-38. Alan has a similar close finish & pips Dave Bradshaw 54-41. Good effort C Team, they've got some wily campaigners (& nearly half the D&D Committee were on show!).
