| A Team draw Marlborough B in their John Evans Cup Semi Final at Wantage & win 5-0. Phil is drawn first v his ex-Fairmile team-mate, Stuart Foley & turns it on with a very one-sided score-line, 94-9. Tom faces the wily Ken Cooper & struggles with the slow, heavy cloth but gets the job done, 64-43 after a initial tit-for-tat scoring. Cuz comes off the bench & plays the 'glory leg', or as some call it 'destiny moment' v Dave Bradshaw & puts the A's in the Final with a solid 60-18 win. Pete & Terry draw a Captains frame (again) in the first 'dead rubber', with Pete winning, 48-24. Rowey is drawn in his customary 'Tail Gunner' position v coached protégé, Ade Jackson & seals the full house with a 58-18 solid frame win. Well done A's! | ||||||||||

Anchorman makes a welcome return (to avoid Tony having to multi-task!), but sadly the lack of table time shows v Stuart Fenwick as he loses, 35-64. Rob faces Oracle Captain, Rich 'Peanut' Saunders & they struggle on a slow cloth with Peanut sealing the win, 37-52. Soheil draws Ollie Hoeblyn & starts by potting well & pressuring him. Ollie duly responds with a 30 break, but Soheil comes back with more good pots before Ollie puts Oracle through with a 35-80 win. Peanut sticks around to give Brian & Andy a knock - nice to see.
