In the last League match of the season, the A Team face the B Team & needing 3 points to guarantee retention of the Premier Division Title, win 5-0! Bakes faces Simon in the opener & it's a close tense frame with Simon knocking in a 23 to take the lead & plays well, taking Bakes to the black... which Simon unfortunately goes 'in off' to lose, 55-42. Phil faces Tony who forges to a 0-21 lead, spurring Phil on to knock in a sublime 75 break (beating the previous High Break of 60, held by Bakes, which now cannot be beaten!), winning 75-21 to secure the point that wins the Title (Oracle dropped points at home to Challow)...

…but Pete is unaware of the real-time scores from Sheba's 'spy' at the Oracle match & is focussed as he plays Brian. There's immaculate safety from both at the start & Pete takes a lead with Brian fighting back well before Pete is left a chance & secures a 69-21 win. Tom plays Rob & pots well for an early lead which he holds throughout, aided with a little good running(!), winning 54-27. Rowey faces his old Captain in the last & although Andy takes the lead, Dave pots superb towards the end, winning 59-13. Hopefully we won't get drawn together in the John Evans Semis next week? Could it be an A v B Final?

C Team travel to Wantage (with just 4 players!?) & go down 4-1. Baz opens v Ian 'Sid' Barnes & has a nightmare as Sid shows all his experience to secure a 75-3 win. Adam level the frame score with a black-ball frame v Chris Rose, 45-49. Mark faces Michael 'Bish' Bishop & its another black ball frame, but this goes the way of the home side by a solitary point, 53-52. Kev races back from Bowls to play Steve Hunt & guess what? ANOTHER black ball game which Steve wins, 55-49. Lee Wood gets a walk over in the last. Unlucky C's!
