No match for the A Team as they sit out their Bye week before the A v B derby next week. However, an extremely worthy 'Mention in Despatches' goes to Dave 'Bakes' Baker who warmed up nicely with a hat-trick of breaks in the Greene King, making a 59 (in the Group Stages to take that prize), a 71 in his Quarter Final & then a sublime 101 clearance in his Semi Final before going on to win the Final. To the best of my knowledge, this is the first Century Break made by a Comrades player in a competitive match & well worthy of taking the lead for this seasons Bill Billingham High Break prize... so far!

B Team travel to Abingdon RBL & lose narrowly, 2-3. Andy starts v Nigel Archer & fights back from a 40 point deficit, but luck is against him with a 65-41 loss. Brian plays Paul Archer & takes him to a black ball game, losing out, 52-41. Craig faces 'The Doctor', John Delfoss who pots well & races to a 58-18 win. Dave pulls to a 40+ lead, but Norman Price fights valiantly before Dave pulls away again, sealing a 22-59 win with a concession on the colours. Rob has a nip & tuck frame with Duncan & although behind on the colours, clears green to pink to win, 47-55. Could have easily been a 1-4 as Cap B reports!
