A Team travel to Didcot Con & win 1-4. Opening frame is Captains innings with Bob Higginson (21) v Cap A & it's an hour long grind which Pete wins, 35-60. Jon returns to his 'first' club & faces Lee Hughes (21) & Hawks is 43-0 down when he knocks in a crucial 35 break to pull himself back into it. He also grinds out the win, 64-78. Tom plays Gary 'Sparky' Walker (21) & it's nip & tuck throughout, with Tom potting well for a 46-64 win. Cuz plays Didcot Stalwart 1 Phil Organ (21) & knocks in a nice 26 (his 3rd break of the day!) in a convincing 37-74 win. DR faces Stalwart 2 Wayne Evans (28) who pots some cracking balls to lead. DR fights back but can't quite claw back the deficit, losing 72-42.

For the first time in the history of the D&DB&SL, B Team host our own C Team(!) & win 3-2. Stu (7) opens v Baz (14) who knocks in a nice 16 break to lead. Stu pegs him back with 'old faithful' (new cue's going back!) & applies the pressure to claw back the deficit & win, 55-35. Cap B Andy (7) plays Alan (14) who has his potting boots on & even though Cap B racked up 20 points without reply, Alan promptly starts potting everything from there on. Despite good containing safety from Cap B Alan levels it to 1-1 with a solid 33-66 win. Brian (14) returns to match-play after a (thankfully) short hospital stay & faces Grant (28) making his debut...

...& it's a nip & tuck frame which 'new-boy' Grant takes on the pink to win 39-47, putting the C's 1-2 up! Rob (7) plays Mark (21) & Rob is fluid & free scoring throughout, knocking in a brace of teen breaks, eventually winning convincingly, 77-27 to level the frames at 2-2. So, for bragging rights it's Anchorman (7) v Cap C (14) & with neither player performing as we know they can, DG struggles to victory, 55-44 as Adam jaws the pink. Well done B Team & commiserations to the valiant C's who certainly gave the Premier Division Team a run for their money - noted! B's travel to Abingdon RBL & C's to Harwell A in the League next week.
