A Team progress through the Jim  Taylor Cup Quarters with a 4-1 home win v Challow B. Anchorman starts(!) v Lee Wood & races to a near 40 point lead before Lee pegs it back, but Dave was never troubled, winning 60-25. Jon plays Mike Bishop & the only surprise was Hawks didn't have a big break with a new tip! 88-9 for 2-0. Tom faces Chris Rose & looks like he's going to clinch the 'glory leg' but misses a pink & the frame is nip & tuck with Chris pulling 1 back for Challow with a 28-60 win. Captain faces Barry Alexander & toughs it out for a 57-16 win. Phil pots sublimely to take the 'dead rubber' v Paul Ribinson, 69-23.

B Team also progress to the Jim Taylor Semis with a 1-4 away win v Marlborough B in the Quarters. Brian gets the perfect start with a win on the colours, 32-45 v Dave Bradshaw. Rob House keeps the pressure on with a 36-49 win v Andy Patterson. Craig faces the experienced Ade Jackson (Moggy's Brother-in-Law!) & the home team pull back a frame, 68-19. Dave Rowe secures their Semi Final place with a resounding 8-82 win v Ken Cooper. Andy plays a 'dead rubber' v Stuart Foley & runs out a winner, 41-51. Well done B's - through to BOTH Team Semis!

Sadly the C's don't manage to join A & B in the Semis as they lose narrowly, 3-2 at Didcot Con. Dave 'The Shark' gets drawn out first v their Captain Bob Higginson & goes down 57-37. Jon faces Lee Hughes & also loses, 61-12. With a mountain to climb, Alan fights well v the stalwart Phil Organ who clinches Didcot Con's place in the Semi Finals with a 58-48 frame win. Adam starts salvaging some pride with a convincing 25-67 win v Dave Ayries, before Captain Kev beats the experienced Wayne Evans, 39-47. Unlucky lads, good effort.
