So, 2018 draws to a close & our Clubs Centenery Year starts tomorrow - What a momentous achievement for any club to be still in existence after 100 years!

Mark Andrews (Wantage) came from 0-1 down to win 2-1 v Ashley Brown - a cracking effort from the C Team battler in his first year of League Comps. 👏

Alan Milton held his nerve after leading 1-0 to secure a 2-1 after Martyn Houle (Wantage) fought back to level. 👏💪

Snooker Doubles - Tom Hamilton-Williams & Kevin Higgs beat Hugh Baker & Alan Wells 2-0 (Tom made a 53 in first frame).  That was Cuz's first Comrades Gold Leaf (& also a destiny) moment

Snooker Drawn Pairs - Jon Hawkins & Adam Goddard beat Rob House & Neil Tolley 2-1.

Snooker Veterans - Simon Ellam beat Pete Billingham 2-1 on the black in the deciding frame.

Billiards - Rob House reached the 250 point target first to win v Simon Ellam

Snooker Singles - In the Blue Ribband event, Stuart Foley beat Dave Rowe 2-1 for his first Comrades Gold Leaf moment!

Stop The Press - Steve ‘The Nugget’ Davis is coming to our Club!!!

It is with great pleasure that I can finally announce to you all (the worst kept secret in the Comrades Club 100 year history!), that all you snooker players & fans will need to keep Sunday 23rd June 2019 as a free night in your diaries!

To celebrate the momentous occasion of our Clubs Centenary Year there will be a large number of events throughout the year, but one in particular that you snooker players are going to love.

Through contacts (thank you so much, Nic Barrow) & lots of hard work by the Centenary Committee (for this event, Gavin Twigg) the Comrades Club have secured a Professional Snooker Player to come & do an Exhibition Night...

...none other that 6 times World Champion, the Legend that is, Steve 'The Nugget' Davis!!!
