A Team draw the B Team in the Semi Finals of the Jim Taylor Cup at Challow & B's find the Premier Division Champions in a very uncharitable mood! It seems that fate has a sense of irony as House Doubles/practice partners Jon & Andy get drawn together in the opener, with Jon knocking in a 30 break in a solid 78-18 win. The irony of draws continued with Anchorman drawing Brian (yeah, like they've never played against each other before!). …perfect angle/pace up & down to clip the red & leave it safe, eventually sealing it, 55-18. 3rd frame was Cap A v Dave Rowe & it was a tense, tight, tactical battle which went right to the black, Pete clipping it in for a 61-50 win (but DR got the 25+ points he needed to crack the Golden 1000!). Cuz n Craig played the first 'dead rubber' & with Cuz on a Stats Mission, he won 70-17. Rob faced Phil in the last & having swapped work shifts to play & not leave A's fielding 4 in an SF, Phil made it count with a 47-19 win. Sorry it had to be you guys B's!

No match for the C's, but an 'Honourable Stats mention' for Adam & Jon who were in the Semi/Finals of the 2 Man Team. In their SF, they drew formidable Premiership pairing, Phil Hall & Dave Williams of Challow... & they won! A tremendous result & they faced Wallingford pairing & current 2 Man holders, Pete Billingham & Kev Higgs in the Final. It wasn't to be a full Fairy Tale ending, but full credit to them for a fantastic performance! Well played lads!
